Everyone was excited for the trip including me. Counting each days and finally we were travelling to Sikkim.Packing, unpacking, the journey, the destination, feeling the beauty of mountains and valleys...it was awesome and specially when friends are with you.our main excitement was that we have a freedom now,far away from homes,no hassles,no cooking,no worries....simply enjoy the journey and create your own happiness. Our first halt was ZULUK.

1. ZULUK :
From siliguri it takes almost 5-6 hours to reach Zuluk, which is at the height of 10,000 feet.Zuluk is suppose to be the transit point to Silk route from Tibet to India in those days. There are no hotels in Zuluk, only home stays you will find. Zig-zag roads with hair-pin bends...a thrilling adventure one faces with breathtaking viwes of mountains and valleys. The main attraction in Zuluk is watching Kanchenjunga from Thambi view point and sunrise.

(our Homestay-made up of tin sheets, very cosy and comfortable)

2. NATHANG VALLEY /NGATHANG VALLEY :
After a night stay at Zuluk we movd to Nathnag valley, also known as Gathang situated at an elevation of 13,500 ft.This beautiful valley was a home to traditional YAK herders who came from Tibet. Nathang valley is very peaceful and calm village.
Since we travelled in the Month of April, patches of snow were in the valley which were melting.
